Running a study —
with and without a platform

The usual processmanual work in questionnaires and spreadsheets, with results depending on individuals
  • Study data is collected and processed manually
  • Days pass between collecting responses and getting results
  • Conclusions rely on expert opinion and are difficult to substantiate
  • Methods and calculations depend on individual employees
  • Complex studies are difficult to organise manually
  • Reports are recreated each time and vary in format
  • Results are scattered across files, folders and email
With Periturathe entire study workflow in one platform
  • The entire workflow is automated, from questionnaires to statistics
  • Results are available as soon as data collection is complete
  • Statistical measures help interpret differences
  • Methods are stored in the platform and do not depend on individual employees
  • The platform manages rotation, scheduling and multi-day protocols
  • PDF, XLSX, CSV and API reports, with content defined in the report builder
  • All studies and their results are stored in one system

Use cases

The questions people
bring to Peritura

Every study supports a business decision. Skipping research comes at a cost: a failed launch, a prolonged supplier dispute or a lost customer.

Launching a new product

There are several candidate formulations, and you need to choose before going to market, based on more than three people's tastes.

A comparative study with the right sample: ratings for each product, statistical analysis of differences and data to support your choice.

Changing ingredients or suppliers

An ingredient has to change. The main risk is that your regular customers will notice the difference.

Test the current and new formulations before production. Make a decision based on data, before complaints arrive.

Reducing costs

You need to lower formulation costs while preserving product perception. The cost of getting it wrong is measured in market share.

Compare lower-cost variants against a reference to see which savings go unnoticed and which compromise taste.

Consistent quality

The product needs to stay consistent across batches and sites, while batch assessment remains subjective.

Regular assessments on a common scale, compared with a reference. Deviations become visible as trends in the data.

Team

One platform
for the whole team

R&D, quality, marketing and the sensory laboratory work in one space, with shared data, consistent methods and comparable reports.

R&D and product development

Today

Formulation iterations stall as data processing delays the journey from testing to results.

With Peritura

Fast comparison cycles and a history of trials for every product. Development keeps pace with the kitchen, and data stays available.

Quality and production

Today

Batch assessments rely on opinion, and supplier disputes or differences between shifts cannot be resolved with numbers.

With Peritura

Regular ratings on a common scale, comparisons with a reference and an objective conclusion: a focused discussion instead of an argument about taste.

Marketing and insights

Today

Taste and formulation decisions are made internally, without the consumer's voice.

With Peritura

Consumer tests with clear reports: what people prefer and how confidently, to support launches and positioning.

Sensory specialist

Today

Sample arrangements, data processing and report preparation eat into time reserved for research.

With Peritura

The platform handles the routine work, leaving study design, work with assessors and interpretation of results: the reasons you chose this profession.

For business

Ready for enterprise
deployment

Peritura was built for companies with multiple teams, strict data requirements and their own methods.

Data isolation

Each company's data is isolated at the database level. Studies, methods and results are inaccessible outside your organisation.

Roles and permissions

Configure permissions around your team structure: who creates studies, who runs them and who sees the results.

Versioned methods

Method changes are published in a controlled way. Active studies continue using their original version, so results do not change retrospectively.

Your data belongs to you

Export raw data and results to XLSX and CSV at any time, without being locked into proprietary formats.

Integrations

A documented API and exports for sharing data with external systems.

Support

Email support, with questions handled directly by the product team.

Questions

Frequently asked questions
before you start

Can we move our methods to the platform?

Yes, this is a standard implementation scenario. Scales, questionnaires, calculation logic and report templates are configured in the builder around your practice. We work with your team on the migration.

How do we get started?

With a pilot: we configure one or two of your real methods and run a live study. You can see the platform's value in your own data before deciding on implementation.

Where is the data stored, and who owns it?

Each company's data is isolated at the database level and belongs to you. Raw data and results are always available: PDF and XLSX reports, raw CSV data and typed results via API. Hosting options are discussed during implementation.

Does the platform integrate with our systems?

The platform provides a documented API and XLSX and CSV exports. Integrations with your corporate systems are discussed during implementation.

How much does it cost?

A subscription that scales from a small team to a group with several sites. We prepare a quote after a short discussion of your requirements, without lengthy briefs.

I'm not a sensory specialist. Will I be able to use it?

Yes. In a demo, we talk about your tasks rather than technical terms: you describe your situation, such as changing suppliers or choosing a formulation, and we show how to address it. You do not need an established process, just a question your team wants to answer.

Do we need to train the team?

The interface is designed for researchers and technologists, not IT specialists. We train your team using your real studies during implementation.

Is the pilot paid?

Pilot terms depend on its scope and are discussed in the demo. The principle stays the same: you decide on full implementation after the pilot, when the platform's value is visible in your data.

Our studies are unusual. Will the platform work for us?

Most likely: studies in Peritura are assembled from configurable blocks, including question types, study designs, calculations and reports. Bring your most challenging case to the demo, and we will start there.
